Secure storage of dangerous goods

More than three and a half thousand substances and devices are classified as dangerous goods. Classification and labelling of dangerous goods is performed in line with GOST 19433-88. Such goods can be solid, liquid or gaseous by consistency, and they are grouped into nine danger classes.

Distinguishing characteristics of temporary storage

In many cases during transportation of goods that are classified as dangerous it is required to leave them for storage for a short period of time. Unlike regular goods that do not endanger people or environment in any way, it is strictly prohibited to store such products in regular warehouses. For safety reasons, they are stocked in warehouses for temporary storage of dangerous goods.

During allocation of substances, devices and other goods in the warehouses their danger class should be taken into account, and the warehouses are subject to special requirements. Storage facilities for dangerous goods should be located and equipped in full compliance with the safety standards established by effective reference documents. Strict compliance with these rules minimizes the risk of adverse consequences.
